Some people may look at what Nathaniel Ru has done with healthy food and declare that he is a genius. After all he has taken a concept that no one wants to hear anything about and made it popular. Before Nathaniel Ru decided to embrace the concept of healthy eating through his restaurant chain no one was really talking about restaurants like this. Healthy food was not something that was trending.
People may have given their takes on the need to eat healthy, but most of America was still known to be obese. There was a problem that no one was doing anything about. Nathaniel Ru saw an opportunity to present a solution.
Nathaniel knew that it would be hard work to get people to whole-heartedly embrace eating healthy, but he knew it would not be impossible. In fact Nathaniel Ru had the greatest amount of confidence in consumers that were dining out on a regular basis.
Nathaniel believed that it was possible to get consumers to eat healthy if healthy food was presented in a way that made people stop and pay attention to it.
He knew that certain spices and ingredients, mixed with fresh food, would be a gateway to healthy food consumption. People had to see that there was a balance when it came to eating healthy. No one wants to be forced to eat healthy.
Nathaniel Ru is someone that recognized this. He wanted to make it possible for people to eat healthy without the fall back on the fact that this was something that they had to do.
Nathaniel was much more inclined to help people realize that eating healthy could be something that people actually wanted to do for themselves. This is how he has managed to lure people in with the Sweetgreen restaurant franchise. He knew that restaurants with healthy good could be appealing with the right marketing campaign.
Sweetgreen has become a very successful restaurant, and it is primarily the result of the marketing technique that Nathaniel Ru put in place. He created a music festival for his franchise. He also created a Sweetgreen app for ordering.
These would be significant things that would help people realize the value of a company like this. Nathaniel Ru would also implement innovation like the concept of a cashless restaurant. These things would grab their attention of many people when it came to healthy eating.

Arthur Becker is the Managing Partner working at Madison Partners, LLC and he is becoming quickly one of our favorite and most influential real estate developers in the city of New York. Becker has come a long way over the past 15+ years as he worked his way from a Bear Stearns stockbroker into one of the heaviest hitting entrepreneurs in all of New York City. Let’s take a loser look at his meteoric ascent and the path by which Becker came to this success.
You’d have to go back to the early 2000s in order to see Arthur Becker before his first fortune. Becker was working as a stockbroker for Bear Stearns, buying and trading technology companies. It was during this time that Becker struck it big with a couple of sales. Becker would take that success and head right into the real estate market. Becker would turn to Miami and New York as his first two testing grounds for his real estate business. Becker found New York more appealing and he would turn away from Miami to focus therein. By 2011 Becker had started Madison Partners and he was the Managing Partner there.
When it comes to real estate it is all about diversifying and making sure that your investments have a chance to strike it back. So Arthur Becker started by first working right with the big hitters in New York as a quiet backer. Becker got on bored with Kevin Maloney and Michael Stearn in order to work on their Billionaires’ Row project which was located at 111 W 57th Street. Becker’s work here would get him even more work as he switch gears to work on a luxury condo development on Sullivan Street. These early projects gave Becker the momentum he needed in order to get really going.
According to The Real Deal, Arthur Becker is far more than a real estate investor, however, as he is also a huge artist. Becker’s Tribeca neighborhood studio is split directly in half, one side is focused on real estate while the other is literally an art studio. Becker’s diversity has made him successful every step of the way.

PodcastOne and Edison Research have been conducting research on the advertising on five major national consumer products on podcasts. The results, announced by Podcast One CEO Norman Pattiz, show positive improvements on podcast advertising on brand remembrance. It has shown consumers have an increased willingness to try out the products being mentioned in the audio advertising. PodcastOne is making leaps when it comes to audio broadcast which can be manipulated in advertising forums.
The survey brought to light a couple of realizations. There was a sharp incline in listeners’ mentions of a particular brand of grocery after the campaign.
The percentage of these listeners had shot from 7% to 60% after the campaign. Also, the awareness of a vehicle company for their post-market product shot up by 60% and 76% for a particular dining spot.
Surveys held before and after the campaigns proved that the audiences from podcasts were more responsive to messages by a brand and also increased willingness to purchase a product or service.
These studies held by Edison Research on behalf of PodcastOne were to show that podcast advertising had a very powerful impact and great reach to the consumers. Doe Deere, the entrepreneur and the founder, CEO, and owner of Lime Crime Makeup starts her day by waking up bright and early at 8:30 am checking her phones’ calendar and grabbing some breakfast, but not before doing some stretches and spending time with her cats. She does her makeup while listening to her favorite music such as The Beetles. With Instagram open and checking her emails throughout the day, She is one busy woman here to make the world a little bit more colorful for us through the form of makeup.
You may have heard of her, as she was named one of the Top Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs by Self Made Magazine. The self-proclaimed Unicorn Queen who was born in Russia, raised in New York City, and who now lives in Los Angeles, had always been artistic, creative and loved experimentation and dressing in as much color as she could from a young age. Doe believes in embracing her weirdness and that makeup is a form of self-expression. She also believes that listening is one of the most important things to make a business work and that ideas are like children, you have to raise them along to success. She is inspired by Kimberley Gordon, Dita Von Teese, and other girls on Instagram, such as Elena and Stella Rose.
In 2004, Doe made an eBay account with the name “limecrime”. It was an username for her new DIY fashion line that she modeled herself. As colorful makeup became her staple, Doe founded Lime Crime in 2008 two weeks before Halloween in an attempt to find a cosmetics line that matched her own eccentric wardrobe as bright makeup colors were then hard to come by. The result of looking for makeup that matched what she had in mind came the cruelty-free brand called Lime Crime, the bold, vibrant, and intensely pigmented cosmetics which quickly gained a fan following around the world who Doe calls “Unicorns”. The name Lime Crime comes from her favorite color and the dream to create cosmetics so bright that “Wearing them should be illegal!”
The mostly internet based business puts a big emphasis on being vegan, cruelty-free, and freedom of self-expression. The brand’s goal is to revolutionize how makeup is bought and how it makes people feel. They need to fully believe in a product or it will not be done. They believe in listening to their Unicorns and giving them what they want. Doe’s perseverance and drive has quickly gotten her a cult following and success, which she defines as making other people happy and proud to wear Lime Crime.

Our political landscape has been dramatically changing, reinventing itself over the past decade or so. With the 2016 election being one for the history books, the United States now feels more divided than ever. The right and left wing don’t seem to be coming any closer to compromise and now President Trump is furthering that divide. All of this discord has brought one of the biggest democratic and progressive figures right back into the spotlight. George Soros, seeing the existential threat that President Trump poses, ended up returning to the fray in order to help fight for progressive values around the world. Read more about George’s life story at biography.com.
If you haven’t heard of George Soros then that is probably how he would like it. Soros is a Hungarian born New York investor who made his fortune with the Soros Hedge Fund. Soros survived Nazi-occupied Hungary before emigrating London to study finance as well as philosophy. While studying in London Soros developed his mindset into that of a staunch progressive: he saw what bad men would do with power and never wanted it to happen again. So it makes total sense that Soros would return to help fund Hillary Clinton’s campaign as she ran for election opposite of Donald Trump. Despite Clinton’s loss, Soros still managed to fund-raise nearly $25 million for a variety of different democratic and progressive causes.
Now George Soros is here to stay, ready to keep up the battle as he pushes back against President Trump’s thinly veiled attempt at nationalism and oligarchy. Soros has been laying the groundwork for years to fight back with progressive values both in America and around the world. His work with the Open Society Foundations has been instrumental in getting a grassroots democratic campaign going that could rival that of the Tea Party on the far right.
In fact, you can look to the Ferguson Protests which shed so much light on inequality and police brutality against minorities in cities across the country. When Michael Brown was shot dead by Officer Wilson, the world took notice due to the protests. Soros himself has funded grassroots campaigns and activists in order to get protests like Ferguson up and rolling. His attempt to shed a light on injustice in order to engineer social change has been a cornerstone of the progressive conversation for years upon years. The Ferguson protests in particular brought about a ton of attention to George Soros and his cause.
George Soros is a staunch progressive as well as one of the most giving philanthropists on the planet. Having Soros back in the swing of things can mean only good things for social justice, democracy, and the push to engineer change on a global level for the good of humanity. George Soros established the Open Society Foundations.
